30/12/09 - Some more progress to the Laurel and Hardy pencil drawing

27/12/09 - Well after eating my bodyweight in food and drinking my bodyweight in lager for Christmas i've now resumed painting with some more work being carried out on the Marilyn Manson picture and i've also started a new pencil drawing of Laurel and Hardy (my personal favourites), a still taken from their 1935 film 'Thicker Than Water'

22/12/09 - Finally finished the picture of The S.S. Rohilla and got it framed in time for Christmas, can now concentrate on the painting of Marilyn Manson and probably start another pencil drawing.

Well i've managed to add a little more to my current work, the S.S. Rohilla, got to try to get it finished before Christmas. I've also uploaded an earlier piece of work, a pencil drawing of Durham Cathedral.

Visited the Yarm Originals Exhibition at The Parkmore Hotel in Eaglescliffe yesterday, what a splendid display with work from all mediums to an extremely high standard that both impressed and inspired me to knuckle down and do a bit more. Highlight for me had to be the pen and ink drawings of Laurel and Hardy but i'm biased as they are my favourite comedy characters. Will keep an eye on the Yarm Originals site to watch out for anymore of their exhibitions.

Saw a good exhibition last Saturday (31/10/09) at Marske Methodist Church Hall, a local Art Group with a variety of work from all different mediums, some excellent work that had obviously took the creators a lot of time. Next Sunday am going to The Parkmore Hotel in Eaglescliffe to see another Art and Photography exhibition.

Still a lot to do as you can see. The other work is a pencil drawing of the Hospital ship S.S. Rohilla which was sunk of the coast of Whitby early in the 1900's, this work is a commission and i'm running it alongside the other painting.

Haven't been here for a while, work's taking it's toll, work's ok but it sure does cut into your free time. Here is where i've got up to with my Marilyn Manson painting.

Just started my new acrylic painting, Marilyn Manson, will be working on it for the next couple of weeks, keep watching.

Just sussed out how to transfer pictures here so i've done a couple, hope you like them, more to follow, the ex Mrs Marilyn Manson and famous Burlesque Queen, Dita von Teese in pencil and the Sex Pistols from San Francisco 1978 in acrylic. Best wishes and thanks for looking.

New to this

Hello all, just created this new blog as i've heard so much about it. The reason behind it is that i'm building up a collection of drawings and paintings of various subjects and am looking to display them, feedback would be reccomended from any viewers.
