26/7/12-a little more done to my Ramones painting and a new piece started, it's another 'day of the dead' themed pencil drawing using pencil, charcoal and pen.

5/7/12-Just added a bit more to my Ramones acrylic painting, it's going to take a lot longer than I first thought even though it's only black and white. The Siouxsie Sioux pencil drawing is now completed though.

14/6/12-finally managed to do a bit more work to my Ramones painting (not a lot though) and made a start on a pencil drawing of Siouxsie Sioux, lest see how it comes out.

26/5/12-just a quick note to say i'm slowly getting back to health after a bout of chronic pancreatitis, no idea where it came from but has knocked me bandy for the last 6 weeks with 3 of them been flat on my back in hospital, should soon be getting back to work hopefully.

14/4/12-Just a quick update on the Ramones picture, a lot to do but the paint is building up nice.

3/4/12-Well I went at it in no uncertain terms and finished the lighthouse miniature in no time at all and am quite pleased with the result considering I have very little experience with colours. The Ramones picture is also started but that will be a lot longer to finish with having to build up the shades.

31/3/12-Going to start two new pieces today in acrylics, one is a black and white picture of the much missed and highly influential American punk rock band the Ramones, while the other is another attempt at colours, working on an exercise from an excellent book by Priscilla Hauser, called 'Little Landscapes' which is all about painting miniatures.

25/3/12-Amazed by how quick I knocked this piece up whilst still in 'elephant' mode, only a small piece, 135mm x 100mm but completed it in about three sessions. What to start on next? decisions decisions.

24/3/12-Just finished the two pieces that I was on with, might get them listed on ebay over the weekend after a bit of interest in my other work that was listed there.

7/3/12-a brief update of the two pictures i'm working on.

18/2/12-Carried on nicely with the Mexican Day of the Dead painting, although there doesn't seem to be a lot of detail in it there is still plenty of work there. Back to something a little tamer for my next piece, two young elephants at play.

14/2/12-Thought it was about time to try to get some of my work noticed a bit further afield so i've started listing some of it on Ebay to see if there's any interest.

6/2/12-Completed the post mortem picture over the weekend and found another Day of the Dead painting I was half way through (it's becoming an obsession) so i'll carry on with that, but what to start on next?

31/1/12-pressed on a little bit with the latest pencil drawing, hopefully should get it finished over the weekend. Got to start looking for a suitable venue to put on an exhibition, Whitby's favourite.

29/1/12-This is the new work i'm on with, it's a pencil drawing of what was called a 'post mortem picture', years ago when a family member passed away photographs used to be taken with the deceased member and the living members, I have followed up with my 'Day of the Dead' theme, again something similar to what the extremely talented artist Laurie Lipton does and doctored the picture accordingly.As you can see the picture is still only about one quarter finished but I will update until it's completion.

29/1/12-a new piece to upload, a pencil drawing of The Crooked House in Windsor, a strange leaning building that now acts as a tea room, I took the photographs when I was working there in 2011.
