10/9/10-Finally got to finish my Marilyn Manson painting in my holidays, nice to get away from work and the incompetence that often goes with it.

Sunday 27 June 2010

-and here's the Ronnie Barker and Brian Wilde as Fletcher and Mr Barrowclough.

27-6-10 - Just had a few days off in the sun and was able to finish off a couple of pieces i'd been working on, the first being a black and white canvas taken from the film 'A Clockwork Orange' and the second taken from the fantastic comedy 'Porridge'. Also spoke to Janice Foley, the owner of Yarm Originals online Art Gallery, who very kindly expressed an interest in displaying some of my work, this can be found at http://www.yarmoriginals.com/

I also received word of an exhibition at The Danby Moors Centre by Guisborough Art Society which I visited on Thursday and was lucky enough to view some outstanding work and meet some very nice people.

15/5/10 - Finally had a bit of time to concentrate on some painting, this one was taken from an exercise in a painting magazine, 'Leisure Painter' which lets you know which colours are needed for each step which is ideal for beginners. All in all not too bad an effort even f I do say so myself.

Monday 3 May 2010

3/5/10 - Well i'm still here beavering away, been working flat out for the last month so i've had very little time for my art work, something new will be posted soon though.

Friday 19 February 2010

19-2-10 - Just completed another two miniature pencil drawings, the first is of the Flying Scotsman steam train, measuring 45mm x 65mm and the second is of Big Ben in London, measuring 65mm x 45mm.

Monday 8 February 2010

8/2/10 - The first is the River Ouse in York, the second is of First World War Troops going over the top in the Battle of The Somme ant the final one is of Upleatham Church, still to the best of my knowledge the smallest church in England.

8/2/10 - Also been trying out some miniature pencil drawings, something I haven't tried in years but the results are quite pleasing. They are sized at 65mm x 45mm.

8/2/10 - Well I managed to finish the pencil drawing of The Shambles in York, very nice too even if I do say so myself.

Saturday 9 January 2010

9/1/09 - Managed to finish the Laurel and Hardy picture but unable to get out due to the weather to buy a frame. Also just began a picture of The Shambles in York, taken in 2008, obviously this picture needs to be gridded out due to the perspective issue but hopefully it will come together.
